Mobese Era Starts on Ferries / 08 January 2008

CCTV system has been installed to the 32 ferries of YDO by ARCEON Technology. The system is being planned to be integrated in the MOBESE which was developed by Ystanbul Police Department (IPD).

ARCEON Technology, equipped  a total of 32 ferries belongs to IDO with Security cameras just in two months. Taking IPD` s advice, IDO mounted 7 cameras in each of it` s ferries in order to meet the increasing security requirements. The system is going to be integrated in the Mobile Electronic System Integration (MOBESE) developed by Ystanbul Police Department (IPD) in order to transmit video to the IPD units. 

323 thousands euros of investment.

IDO made an investment of 323 thousands euros for the system including 238 cameras. IDO also installed X-Ray devices to the Besiktas, Sikeci and Kadiköy ferry racks which has a very busy passenger flow. 
IDO made a statement regarding the application and gave infromation: " The cameras are mounted on the port, starboard, passanger lounges and afterparts of the ferries… The security cameras are being monitored by the shipmasters and being used constanly in contact with the central Office. Formerly, IDO had deployed Security cameras on the ferry racks. Those cameras also provides an archive opportunity up to 1 month.
